Science-backed communication strategies to motivate client action
The Challenge

An insurance company wanted to improve how they engage with clients to encourage proactive health behaviors and regular policy updates. They faced challenges in determining the right timing, messaging content, and delivery methods to effectively motivate clients, especially when it came to communication via email. The key question was: how can we design communication strategies that result in higher opening rates and motivate clients to take action on their health check-ups and insurance policies?

The Work

We developed a comprehensive messaging framework grounded in behavioral science to guide when, what, and how the company should communicate with clients. This framework was designed to reduce friction, enhance message relevance, and prompt timely action. We identified critical behavioral touchpoints and crafted tailored messaging strategies for each stage of the client journey. By applying principles like social proof, timely nudges, and simplified decision-making, we equipped the insurance company with actionable guidelines to design impactful communications. After testing multiple variations of communication content and timing, the behaviorally informed messaging resulted in increased opening rates and click-through rates.
